About
Archie is a fourth-year MPhys Physics student at the University of Oxford, moving on next year to a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences at Cambridge. He has tutored students across GCSE and A-level, with particular experience in Oxford Physics interview preparation and physics admissions testing, now the ESAT. During his own GCSEs and A-levels, he also ran weekly drop-in physics sessions for younger students. Archie achieved 10 grade 9s and 2 A*s at GCSE, an A in the OCR Free Standing Maths Qualification, and 4 A*s at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. He believes doing well in these subjects and enjoying them are not always the same thing, and that much of exam success comes from understanding what examiners are looking for and building the habits to deliver consistently. Alongside technique, he places equal emphasis on strong foundational understanding. He works with students at any level aiming to improve grades or prepare for university applications.
