What actually moves a grade
Marks go missing in predictable places. A Year 12 topic that was never quite understood and everything since is built on. Answers that are right but not in the form the mark scheme wants. Time. So the first session is a diagnostic past paper, topic by topic, and we start where the marks are cheapest. Every tutor works from your exam board's own specification.
The date that matters isn't in Year 13. Predicted grades come from Year 12 exams, and they're what Oxford, Cambridge and everyone else reads in October. A B that becomes an A in the Year 12 summer changes who reads your application. That's where we push hardest.
How we teach it, and who does
Weekly in term, online on Scolari, with notes after each session that you can read. Maths and Further Maths are Leo, Archie, Abe, Ami and Injune. Physics is Leo, Archie and Abe. Chemistry and Biology are Emily, Charlotte, Daniel, Benjamin, Kyla and Summer. History and English are Will and Irina. French and German are Owen.
The same tutors coach admissions, so a physics student's tutor takes them straight on to the ESAT and the interview without a handover. One of Leo's students went from 8-7-7 to 9-8-9 in science over a set of mocks. The same approach at A-level is what takes a B to an A*.
