About
Cyrus is an artist and art tutor with a background spanning fine art, painting, and filmmaking. He has exhibited internationally and won awards for his documentary work, and has several years of experience mentoring students towards offers from top institutions including UCL, Goldsmiths, University of London, the University of the Arts London (UAL), and the University of Hong Kong.
He is currently reading for an MFA in Fine Art at The Queen's College, University of Oxford, fully funded by the Clarendon Fund Scholarship. He graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, with a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art, and was placed on the Dean's List, ranking in the top 5% of the arts and humanities faculty.
As a tutor, Cyrus provides specialist one-to-one tuition for students applying to foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate art programmes, conducting in-depth portfolio reviews and personal statement guidance, and preparing students for interviews. He also works as a Research & Teaching Assistant on arts and health humanities workshops at UCL and City St George's, University of London, and has contributed to professional programming at Art Basel and the Hong Kong Arts Centre.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at South London Gallery, Leeds Art Gallery, Rossi & Rossi, and the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, and was selected for New Contemporaries 2019, with pieces held in private and public collections including the Vancouver Art Gallery.
