What Oxbridge asks of IB students
Two conditions, and you need both. A points total, and a Higher Level pattern, usually 7,6,6 at Oxford and 7,7,6 at Cambridge with the 7 in the subject you're applying for. Maths and computing want the 7 in HL Maths. Physics and engineering want HL Physics too. That makes choosing Higher Levels in Year 11 an admissions decision, and we're happy to talk it through then.
Your IB coordinator sets predicted grades before 15 October, and schools vary in how boldly they predict. Both universities shortlist on them, so the Year 12 exams are where the application really gets decided. That's where our tutoring goes.

The Extended Essay is 4,000 words of independent research with a supervisor who's usually stretched across many students. We help you choose a question you can actually answer, handle sources, and structure the argument against the criteria. The writing stays yours, as the IB requires. TOK gets the same treatment.
Internal assessments count towards every grade, so we give feedback on your approach and your drafts the way a good supervisor would. Many of our IB students are abroad, and lessons run around your time zone, from £55 an hour.
